Asian Garlic Ginger Air Fryer Tuna Steaks
Are you looking for a quick recipe to spice up your meal prep? This Asian-inspired garlic ginger air fryer tuna steak recipe can be cooked in 3-5 minutes and paired with garlic rice and frozen seasoned veggies, such as broccoli or green beans, in nothing flat! Full of juicy soy, ginger and garlic flavors, it will quickly become a favorite, and an easy recipe to add to your meal prep routine.
Note: I don’t typically measure out all of my ingredients, and use as much tuna as I need for the week. However, I have added measurements here for those of you that prefer to have them, and to give you an idea of ratios used. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 - 6 Ounce Fresh Tuna Steaks (Yellowfin, Ahi, Skipjack)
1/4 Cup Coconut Aminos
2 Tsp Honey
1/2 - 1 Tsp Ginger Powder (season to your taste)
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
Fresh Ground Black Pepper (season to your taste)
1 Tsp Sesame Oil
1/2 Tsp Rice Vinegar
Instructions:
Season the tuna steaks with the ginger, garlic powder and fresh black pepper.
Arrange the tuna steaks in a shallow bowl or plastic freezer bag.
Combine the coconut aminos, honey, sesame oil and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
Pour mixture over tuna steaks ensuring you completely cover each tuna steak.
Cover the tuna steaks and let marinate in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees.
Cook the tuna steaks in a single layer, to desired doneness:
Rare: 3 minutes
Medium Rare: 4 minutes
Medium: 4 1/2 minutes
Well Done: 5 minutes
Let cooked tuna steaks sit for a minute or two, then enjoy!
