Italian Tuna Salad
If you are looking for a new take on the classic tuna salad, this recipe is for you! Bursting with flavor from garlic, Italian seasoning and fresh basil, this cool, refreshing dish will leave you wanting more! This recipe can be easily adjusted to meet your macros. You can lay it on a bed of fresh veggies, use it as a topping on rice cakes, wrap it in a low-calorie wrap, or place it on some bread for a tuna salad sandwich. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
Tuna Ingredients
74 grams (1 pouch) Low Sodium Wild Caught Albacore White Tuna in water
½ Tbsp Fresh Red Onion, minced
1 Tbsp Sun Dried Tomatoes, minced
½ Tsp Italian Seasoning
⅛ Tsp Garlic Powder
Fresh Basil, to taste
Himalayan Pink Salt, to taste
Ground Black Pepper, to taste
½ Tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
30 grams Fresh Avocado
Salad Ingredients
1 Fresh Red Pepper, chopped
2-3 Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced
¼ English Cucumber, sliced
Balsamic Dressing
Instructions
Place all of the tuna ingredients in a small bowl and combine, mixing and mashing well.
Place your salad ingredients in a bowl and top with Italian tuna.
Drizzle with 1 serving of balsamic dressing (my favorite is Bolthouse Farms Classic Balsamic).

Notes:
Fresh basil is key. Do not use dried basil for this recipe.
You can adjust the ingredients to meet your macro needs and taste.

I rarely measure my seasonings and often season to taste. You really can’t go wrong.
Fresh tuna or chicken will also work well with for this recipe.
